When a brand enters the luxury retail space, every detail matters. From lighting and layout to packaging and garment presentation, consistency is key to creating a premium in-store experience. For the launch of the contemporary fashion label Now You Live, our team at Print UK worked closely with the brand to deliver a bespoke range of premium coat hangers designed specifically for their debut in some of the world’s most prestigious retail destinations.
The collection launched across Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, and Harrods—three globally recognised names synonymous with luxury retail excellence.
Elevating Garment Presentation Through Design
At the heart of the project was a clear objective: to ensure the hangers complemented and elevated the garments rather than simply supporting them. Our premium coat hangers feature a high-quality gummy coating, engineered to enhance grip while maintaining a soft-touch, refined finish that aligns with luxury retail standards. This coating also helps to prevent garment slippage and reduces pressure marks on delicate fabrics.
Every element of the hanger was designed to be fully customisable. This included the ability to define the exact colour palette of the hanger body, select bespoke metalware finishes, and incorporate branded detailing such as logos. These options allowed Now You Live to maintain absolute control over brand consistency.
Collaborative Design & Mock-Up Development
Working closely with the client, Print UK developed a series of mock-ups across multiple colourways. These were created in line with the brand guidelines provided by Now You Live, enabling the design team to visualise how different combinations would translate in a real retail environment. This process ensured that decisions were not only aesthetic but strategic—balancing visual impact with the practical requirements of high-footfall luxury retail environments.
Supporting Premium Retail Environments
The final hanger designs were introduced into stores alongside bespoke shopfitting produced by We Are Retail. The coordination between fixture design and garment presentation was essential. Together, the elements worked in harmony to create a cohesive retail identity that enhanced the visual merchandising of the Now You Live collections.
